This place could be a 4-5 star. They need more wait staff. Service is nice & friendly, but SLOW. Reminds me of molasses in the winter. Kind of a shame cause of the potential.

Stopped in for some Sunday fun day drinks as well as some Corneille. Great outdoor space and good drinks , just home prepared to wait if it's busy .

Heaven in the form of homemade apple cinnamon pie...with an edible orchid shot with Moscato in the center. Mmmm mmm GOOD!!! I cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is!!! Made fresh food every. single. day. The catfish was phenomenal! The owner waited on us, the sous chef came to our table & discussed his creation. Wonderful atmosphere & completely affordable!!! Check it out or you're missing out!!

The Pump is Poppin!! Fun times, & Great Drinks! I went there for the first time last night before meeting friends for dinner & loved it so much I came back afterwards with my friends! The staff is cool, super friendly and quick to get you a drink or give a great drink recommendation! The atmosphere has a cool vibe. There is outdoor seating and games which gives this place total curb appeal. I decided to bring my own game to play when I returned after dinner- a little game I like to call Cards Against Humanity (unpaid advertisement). We had a blast playing games-& were kept toasty under the heating lamps! Drink wise I tried the Singapore Sling, Velvet Elvis, & the Black Betty.. All good! There were a few hours & dinner in between those drinks :) don't worry I drank responsibly & hydrated too! I didn't order food this time - but my friend got the Tater tots with the spicy Sriracha sauce & they had me sayin- "Give me some of your Tots!" I don't know how to end this review except to say I'll be hanging out here again- & I hope to try more of their food & speciality drinks!

I really do love this place. I always have fun...the atmosphere is the best. The service on the other hand...not so good. If you're starving this is not the place for you...dinner and brunch anyways. I do recommend trying the place out. Flatbread tacos are the bomb.

I've gone here for drinks a few times now. I love the atmosphere, the service, and quirkiness of the place. It's small, but the heaters work pretty well if you have to stand outside. The drinks are priced pretty fairly. They play audio books in the restroom, which I think is hilarious. Usually it's Harry Potter. I went with a huge group for brunch. The service was really great. It took awhile for our food to come out, but our party didn't notice too much since we were enjoying their bucket of mimosas. They covered all of our meals though, which we appreciated so much! The food was DELICIOUS! We all loved what we ordered. I'm excited to frequent this place when the weather is warmer. They have a huge patio area that's calling my name!

We went here the night of Christmas and the place was hopping. They had already stopped serving food, but we had already eaten anyway, so that was okay. Along with others, I have to agree that the interior is small, but the outside is very cozy. With the heated patio, it was a really good place to sit and talk with friends over drinks. The music selection was really good, they didn't play anything that we didn't like and few songs that we just HAD to dance to. However, if you're inside, it is a little loud. Too loud to really carry on a good conversation with more than one person. The the actual bar area where you go to get drinks is a little small and crowded. Thankfully, I was with my giant friend Joe (he's 6'4") and he was able to get the bartender's attention better than I (I'm only 5'2"). However, the drinks were good - not watered down and not overly strong. I highly recommend the Black Betty. It was SO GOOD. I asked for a Collins with lime instead of lemon and the bartender was very accommodating, so they are nice folks here. Just wish it was a tad less noisy.

This is a fucking great bar and hangout joint right off 23rd near the Paseo district in OKC. The atmosphere is completely chill. There is ample outdoor and covered patio seating that is creatively set up surprising the shop, as well as a few indoor seats and plenty of seating around the bar. The main menu as well as the brunch menu is full of absolutely delicious choices, as is the full bar menu. Today I tried the brunch burger and Sazerac, which were both out of this world. It's a dreary day today, so not many people are out on the patio, but on a beautiful day this would be a prime place to kick back with a group of friends in the sunshine to enjoy some drinks in an atmosphere you will be hard pressed to find in many other, if any other places in Oklahoma.

  • Natasha V.

really crowded everytime I am there but the several bartenders and waitstaff they have working at a time, still manage to get your order to you quickly. while most bars do a PBR or old style and a shot special, there was much more than just those 2 beers at the pump. I got a lone star and fireball for $5 too! and the shots arent just limited to certain things but any liquor choice (although, the high-end stuff might cost you more than 5 but that is to be expected and is understandable). it's a fun crowd, mostly young people but ones that actually know how to behave themselves when they are at a bar.

We had a great time at The Pump with some beer and played cornhole after eating at Pizzeria Gusto! It has a fantastic atmosphere, and I'm sorry we didn't try any food - just have to go back!

Good drinks and good friends! Retro bar that everyone should feel like a part of the neighborhood when they visit.

I went here for the first time which was for a Sunday brunch based on reviews and comments contained in previous reviews of this establishment that they have a fantastic brunch. I beg to disagree. I will temper this review by saying that I'm not sure I am hip enough to hang at a joint like this. I do not garner ink or hardware. Not judging, just saying. Cool venue that was a Texaco gas station back in the day. I'm glad there are creative and innovative people willing to take on the project of renovating old buildings and repurposing them. It was a warm, bright sunny day, the place was full and no tables available outside. Since I was by myself I took a seat at the bar and was approached promptly by a server. It was very loud and lively in the bar area. I ordered a regular BM and the double wide egg Benedict. The BM was ok, not memorable. The quality and presentation of the food was awful! Three pieces of potato thrown on a plate with a few pieces of fruit drowning in some form of gelatinous syrup. Yuck! The biscuit was not fluffy and flakey and the sausage patty (and biscuit) seemed pre-prepared (maybe even from frozen,) the egg was meh and the gravy was spartan so can't really comment on it - but it didn't flip my trigger. The food was near inedible. I truly believe a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit from McD's, Braums, Carl's J for just a few bucks is better! To me it seemed to be more of a drinking establishment and that the food was maybe just an afterthought. Just not my type of place. Will not return.

Such a unique experience this spot offers! I came in here for the first time on a Monday night. They were out of almost everything I wanted to order (Okie Poutine, Buffalo Frito Chili Pie, and all specials), but how could I be mad? I figured that must mean the food is THAT good. This hot waitress walks up and talks me into ordering the jar of pickles. Sounded absolutely disgusting. Surprisingly, it was awesome. And I hate pickles. Soul music on in the background and old Godzilla movie on the TVs. I can't explain it but this place is special, service is great, and Chef Guy's food is amazing. I will continue to come back.

Had a blast tonight at the Pump Bar! I drank a Haterade! Drink menu was great! Best bar food I've had in a long long time!! Only two offerings this evening. The chicken and sausage stew and the spinach mushroom quiche. Both were delicious! Typical diverse mid-town crowd! Great music, great food! Our server was fantastic!! I'll definitely be back!!

Brunch was superb! Went with a group of 5 for a birthday. Everyone ordered something different on the menu. Everything was delicious. Our server, Trina, was great and attentive. The owner, Ian, came out to check on us and even gave us a complimentary bucket of mimosas. Our group was more than satisfied. We will definitely be back. Thank you for taking care of us. We had a great birthday brunch!

Always a good time at the pump! The patio is great, set down relax and the waitress take great care of you. I haven't had any of there food but it's a great after hours place.

I had very high expectations for the Pump bar since Guy Romo is the mastermind behind the menu here. I was definitely not let down. The setting was what I have been wanting in OKC for sometime. I forgot for a brief moment that I was in OKC. I felt as though I was transported to the Jackalope in Austin or the Liberty Bar in San Antonio. They were playing Barbarella for goodness sakes! I enjoyed every minute. They have a great beer selection and their cocktails look interesting. My friend and I shared the flatbread tacos, the nachos and the hot dog sliders. We had more than enough for two ladies. The nachos were by far my favorite. They had so many great flavors mixed together that I didn't expect would go well together like creamed corn and black beans with mole. They were delectable. The flatbread tacos were satisfyingly crispy and the filling was very flavorful and only mildly spicy. The sliders were an excellent twist on hotdogs. I love the concept of sliders because you can try several varieties of toppings. Why should we have to choose?! They all had inventive toppings and even the traditional chili, cheese and onions version was fantastic. You could tell all of the ingredients were fresh and made from scratch, but I would expect nothing less from my past experiences with Guy at his former post, MotoChef. I give this place 5 stars on everything, but service. I didn't lower my rating from 5 stars because they have only been open for 5 days. I expected as much. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I will absolutely be back many many times over.

This is currently my favorite bar in the city. From the punk attitude all the way to the Harry Potter audiobook in the bathroom. The Pump is perfect for warm weather and will easily be the hot spot of the summer. The patio is HUGE and has 3-4 sets of Corn Hole that you can play. I haven't had brunch here yet but I can't wait to try it!

  • Jamie H.

Great cocktails. Waitress knew so much about all the drinks. My friends all enjoyed their cocktails and food. Amazing beer list too! Great environment inside though very small. A lot of outdoor seating though! Best to go/walk to/ride your bike/motorcycle to in fair weather! Very cool place. Huge parking lot behind. Great place for a night out! I will bring my in laws, mom, sister, friends, everyone here!(:

We thought Valentine's Day brunch would be a low-key and easy solution to the pressure of dinner, but our first stop had a line out the door. We contemplated retreating to one of our standbys because we weren't willing to wait hours, but after a quick search on Yelp saw that The Pump was nearby. The building is ticked away about a block from the main strip, so I had forgotten it was there although I was excited to see the construction. When we arrived around 11AM on Saturday there were a handful of tables already seated. It is mostly outdoor seating with cornhole along the side of the building and some bar seating indoors. With the warm weather it was great to sit outside, there are little to no shade options though. Also, 11AM seems to be the sweet spot because not too long after we arrived things really started to pick up. Lots of intriguing things on the menu, we ordered the country benedict and the lox. Mimosas come DIY by the bottle or $2 for single drinks. The benedict was good, but my husband hails from the home of Smithfield Ham in Virginia, so I was disappointed by the "country ham" on the plate. The side of potatoes on both plates were a hit, well-seasoned and crispy, but the second entree was only so-so. That said, several orders of steak and eggs came by our table while we waited and they looked amazing. The menu has lots of potential and otherwise it is a good find with reasonable drinks, easy parking, great seating for good weather, and a fun vibe.

The pump bar is exactly what you would expect from Ian and Hailey... Extensive beer selection, exquisite food selection, and charming atmosphere. On this Sunday afternoon, this is the perfect place to be.

We love this neighborhood spot in Uptown. It's a great spot to meet friends and enjoy an evening. Pump has several different seating areas: patio out front with plenty of space between tables, the indoor booths and tables, and then out back. The Pump will be busy on the weekend, but just enjoy yourself. Everyone there is working hard to accommodate everyone. You'll definitely want to get an order of Tots for the table and probably try the Flatbread Tacos too. PROS: Big seating area out front. High quality pub food punched up. Servers are over-worked, but working hard. Wide variety of customers. CONS: If you sit indoors during peak times you'll have to order at the bar. Everyone you know is at Pump so it gets difficult to avoid people you don't want to see! PRO TIP: Sit outside and get a table with a server.

  • Alejandro R.

Food selection is average. Decent beer selection decent drink menu. Waiters don't really know what they are taking about but they have that I-am-very-cool-and-know-so-much attitude.... I guess the ratings so high come from the fact that there are not many things to do in OKC. I could come back and be fine about it.... I could also spend the rest of my life without coming here and be fine.

    (3)
  • Leslie D.

The food selection isn't that great. The drinks are good, it's dog friendly, and it's a laid back place to hang out. Another con- there is smoking on the patio area.

  • Jacky V.

I just want to be drunk and sit in the bathroom and listen to Harry Potter. I love this place! Okc needs a place like this. Great vibe.. Great staff.. AMZING drinks. The owners of this place have worked so hard to offer a fun place for the locals to drink. I can't wait until I visit this summer so I can sit on the patio with my pup. If Hailey is manning the bar order the Singapore Sling. It's the perfect amount of sweet and the perfect amount of booze taste. Cheers to a new bad ass place in OKC!

We went on a Sunday night and really loved it. The atmosphere was great, the service was fabulous and the food was really, really good. We split the Sunday night blue plate special, which frankly I wouldn't normally have ordered if it hadn't been our only choice. However, it was absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely go again.

The coolest place in the blossoming 23rd street district! It reminds me of the open air bars in Austin with 2 huge garage doors they open to the elements In the spring and fall. Amazing patio with a high powered mister fan to help you beat the heat. In the winter part of the patio is enclosed with thick plastic and has heaters so you can enjoy an epic snow storm all the while remaining nice & toasty. Bringing your fur baby is very much encouraged and you can expect that your dog will be greeted with its very own pail of water. Now let's talk about the food, the amazazazing food. Nothing like what you would expect from a typical bar. The fried tacos are one of my faves, the drumsticks are spicy and delicious not to mention that these guys make one mean brunch with mimosa buckets that are only 15$. The tiki drinks are incredible and very reasonably priced. If you are feeling exotic give the Kahiki Kai a try complete with a tropical umbrella. The bar staff also does a "Dirty Harry" everyday, a concoction of there own creation which can range anywhere from booze laced popsicles to infused liquors using fresh local ingredients. They also just started doing karaoke on Monday evenings. So if you hate good booze, great food, corn hole, giant jinga and beer pong you should probably skip this place because I hang out here & bless your heart you're probably to lame to hang.

Another non-smoking bar in OKC, and a fabulous one at that. The pump bar really is a cool place that's unlike any of the other bars in OKC that has both indoor (which is small) and outdoor seating. The first time I came to the pump I sat with three others and was never approached by a server until we called her over even though she was waiting on all the tables around us. That was incredibly frustrating, but after that the service was decent. We had food that night and it was delicious! The last time I went to the pump bar, the service was exceptional. My drinks were never empty and I never had to ask for something because we were constantly being checked on. We sat outside and really had a great time. Awesome place to frequent and a great place to take out-of-towners. I look forward to spending more time at this bar. I hear they have a great brunch and look forward to trying it eventually!

This bar has a fun vibe and relaxing atmosphere. Drinks are great and even better are the prices. I love the patio seating! This bar is so chill - my friends and I can hang out here for hours. Employees are very nice and provide quick service despite it being crowded here most of the time. The food portions are small so it's mostly for snacking. I like checking out Pump Bar's Instagram page for pics and to see what foods and drinks they have available (there are always new items). Also, the owner seems really cool :)

How fun is this bar!!??!! My friends and I went here for a birthday celebration and we had a blast! I love that it's an old gas station too. The atmosphere was really hip, all of the staff seems to love their job. The employees were really nice, especially the bartenders. We just came for drinks because we were eating next door at the pizzeria. I ordered the Pump punch, it was really girly and sweet and made with coconut rum..yummo! My hubs got a long island iced tea..they definitely don't skimp on the booze here! What makes this place different from other bars; Very hipster, they play Jackie Chan movies, and you can play bing bag toss and GIANT Jenga outdoors...I'll be back for sure to try the other craft cocktails.

Hipsters unite! Mixed bag of ambiance and OKC locals gives the best patio people watching and mingling. Can't beat drinking a Hamm's, listening to jams and cozying up to strangers any night of the week. Haven't tried their fare yet but rumor has it its worth the drive. Fun spot for patio lovers like yours truly! (Also dog friendly)

If you're looking for a NEW place in OKC to have unique drinks, tastebud orgasmic food, eclectic scene and a staff that beckons to your every need??!!! Bring it!!!! The Pump is a breath of fresh air to the smoke filled and old bar scene of the city. What bar have you been to where you can go to the restroom and hear a voice....oh wait...it's Game of Thrones being read over the loud speaker or Harry Potter the like other nite. Where you can see awesome art and fantastic seating with a kitschy industrial flair! And let's talk about the bartenders.....Good Golly Miss Molly, Bodacious Bekki, Killin it Kelsey, Ragin Rachel, Mix Master Meghanne, Southside herself Shavonne.....and of course Hallelujah Hailey!!!!! These ladies know how to mix, shake and pour an array of fantabulous drinks. And Ian is making the rounds to make sure all is right with the patrons. The bar back boys and of course awesome chef Guy and his crew round out the amazing cast at The Pump. And I'm counting down the days til it's nice and warm out (not that the heated patio isn't badass enough) for those garage doors to roll up and to feel the flow of my new hang out!

Well coming from someone who is picky... their brunch leaves a lot to be desired. My boyfriend and I went for a late lunch/early dinner and while he was in heaven, I left hungry. I understand there are a lot of bars and they're trying to do something different but I can't help wishing they offered more traditional bar fare. That being said, the wait staff were awesome and I had fun people watching. We plan on going back during the week and trying their dinner menu. Hopefully that turns out better.

revisited great waitress! make those idiot fuckers with dogs that are alone at home all day and have no manners, let alone PUBLIC MANNERS...don't let them bring thoise nasty, tugging, barking, yapping ill mannered beasties in here...I'll let a stranger's dog lick my face and feed it off my fork all night, it isn't a dog thing..it's like uninvolved parents inflicting a screeching five year old on an entire restaurant.....if the pet guardians have a straggly beard AND a Mis-appropriated Pacific Islander culture topknot, look like their clothes came out of the ragbin pile marked "fits a wormy looking male"...you can bet their culturally mis-appropriated me-too, tattoo!!! says "asshole" in Chinese as well seriously, the food here is absolutely rave worthy the staff is great, too..busy, but great! the vast majority of dogs there tonight were well behaved..there was a German Shepard puppy by the iced beer stand- just weaned- that had amazing public manners the women with dogs....had great dogs! Bison chili frito pie was as good as ever veg sandwich special tonight..wow curry scallops and mussels......The Noodles, Miss Thing, The NOODLES! tried several different beers at the waitress's suggestion, because you can trust the staff here, they're good Fourth visit, but this was the first time it would have been ruined by the slack attitude about making people control their animals....if the waitress wasn't so good, and the food equally as good and most of the dogs pretty good... you wouldn't let a patron lunge and scream and snap at other patrons for a minute, what makes it cool to let dogs do that all night? can't wait to see your Fall menu

I have never seen or heard of clear bourbon, but when I questioned it, the bartender assured me it was correct. Won't be ordering any more old fashioned or other mixed drinks here. As all of the ones I have tried have been terrible. I do like the atmosphere and there food is good, but be prepared to wait half an hour.

  • Matt M.

Best outdoor bar scene in OKC! Try the Tater Tots that come with garlic aioli and siracha ketchup. YUM! Also $5 drink specials, like a beer and a shot, or daily specials. Also hard cider on tap! WOot! This is a wonderful outdoor patio where you can bring your dog and just chill with some very good bar/snack foods. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Service can be a bit slow, but this is not the kind of place if you are in a rush. No kids! All the seating is listed as "a bar" and so 21 and up.

Although the space is small, they have an adorable patio which is beautiful after the sun goes down. They also have delicious, colorful cocktails. This is such a perfect girls night spot - it's fun and adorable!

The food is worth coming here alone! Even if you have to eat off the floor. The Verde Farro Succotash with root veggies, winter squash, seranos and some other secret ingredients was absolutely the epitome of simply delicious! The atmosphere is casual and eclectic with plenty of neon. Nice beer and drink selection as well as some really great small plates. The chef's daily menu is posted in very difficult to read chalk on chalkboard. This just adds to the excitement of getting to try something totally different and amazing. Will definitely be returning soon!

FIRST OF ALL, I've been to this place multiple times because the patio is a great idea, but the service is unreal how terrible it is. Busy or not it takes 30 minutes to an hour to get drink. Five bartenders and none of them will even greet you, much less try to get you what you need. I don't know why people still go here. If you go, order at least two at a time. The pump is not worth it. B, Sam is great.

This place caught my eye and seemed like my type of place. Once I entered the bar the atmosphere seemed great and like a place I could see me and my friends enjoying often. To make a long story short I didn't feel welcomed, I ordered a drink at the bar and that beer was the only thing I had since none of the staff asked if I needed anything else or do I recall anyone greeting me or making me feel like I was a paying customer. Maybe if I was apart of the staff or a friend of the staff I would have received better service since they all seemed to be paying attention to each other and not a paying guest. Maybe it's the same issues that prevented my ancestors from going in certain places in the 30's 40's and 50's because of the color of their skin. It was not busy, it wasn't during peek hours and I tried to find any other excuse but racism but I couldn't because my CAUCASIAN girlfriend noticed and felt the same way I did. I hate pull the race card but it is crazy! Not everyone is from Oklahoma and only rose around their own race, its culture that you are trying to bring to Oklahoma and with culture there comes cultures to make this happen, not all African Americans are the same and should be given benefit of the doubt. Its 2015!!!

So 1st time @thepumpbar and literally been sitting at my table for 13minutes and no one has come said anything to me. Meanwhile people come in after me and are immediately greated. The server passes me twice now & slides me a menu nerver utters a word to me wow! 3rd time she passes me again takes the table next to me order. Slides a drink coaster and walks by without saying anything! However Hailey came to my rescue she was very friendly & helpful explaining the menu transition from brunch to dinner. I chose jusy enjoy the $2 mimosa's. I will have to return on a later date for food..

I am lucky enough that The Pump is within blocks of where I live. The concept is unique, the people are amazing, the atmosphere is perfect, and the food will blow your mind. The cocktails are fantastic and the bartenders are the best people. Ian and Hailey, the owners, are some of the nicest people on the planet and you can tell how much they have put their heart and soul into this place. For me and my circle it's home. It's our neighborhood bar. I have ate and drank most of the menu and never been disappointed. Don't fear to come to The Pump and get to know the people and partake in the wonderful new experience they have created. The Pump exemplifies everything that is amazing about what's going on in OKC right now. Excuse me now, I have a beer and tacos to consume.

I love this place! It's so cute and they have so many fun drink options at reasonable prices. I wish they'd make the big outdoor area non smoking too. Definitely one of my new favorite places!

One of my new favorite places in OKC. I frequent here mostly during the weekdays. After a crazy long day at work. Starving, or just need a drink. Somewhere I can be social and talk to all the strangers around me because everyone I run into at the place is way too fun, every time I have gone here I have had long entertaining conversations with someone I have never seen before. And I usually recognize most of the people in okc! Or I enjoy sitting and enjoy a "break" from the day. Okay so I do order wine here. I mean, ya, it isn't such a wine place, but I enjoy the atmosphere and on week night I need my glass of wine after the long days of never being able to fulfill all the needs of my pharmacy customers that need 100 Viagras and don't want to spend a dollar on it, wait? Oh and being yelled at that I don't know what i'm doing when their prescription is $1.50 more than it was in 2012. For double the dosage in mg and a 90-day-supply instead of 30... Ah, back to Pump Bar. I always sit at the bar, The bartenders are the best. So because i order wine, I can't recommend much on the drinks, but they have this delicious house cocktail, that is blue, coconuty, and really popular. It is delicious, but too sweet for me. But if you are into those fun fruity drinks you really would love it. I am so bad at remembering names of anything. They'll know which one it is if you can't figure it out from the menu. My other favorite thing, and what many times influences me to go to pump bar, is the fun specials menu. After long days, I sometimes can't think of what to eat. Or maybe i just love all kinds of foods that choosing a restaurant is so hard for me. So I choose pump bar many times to resolve that because I want to try something new on their specials for the evening that is always a surprise. The only downside, is that many times the specials run out before I can get there some nights. The food is really good here. I'm telling you, it is! As far as the atmosphere, its low key, hipster ish, divey? Maybe? Not the cutesy, classy feel you might want/need for a group of girls on a saturday place, at least for my taste. But it's always packed on the weekend with a great and super friendly crowd. Ah love this place!

Ooof, Pump Bar. I have a love-meh-love relationship with it. There are definitely more positives than negatives, so you know I'll keep coming back. Love: the concept, the execution in design is incredible. The patio is one of the best in OKC. Dog-friendly. All walks of life. Not overwhelming menu. Close to a lot of cool stuff. Corn-hole areas. Tables with umbrellas. Friendly bartenders. Meh: The strict IDing (like turning away pregnant ladies and babies... I get it, but feels weird), the naked women that pop up on their tvs, the excessive smoking on the patio, the SUPER SLOW service most of the time... Pump Bar is for sure fun, just be prepared to hang out for awhile. You'll be entertained.

I haven't had the food here--but I had drinks and the atmosphere was excellent! I'm looking forward to going back for brunch ASAP.

I was invited to The Pump Bar for a friend's going away party. We typically have a large group of people so bars with lots of seating are sometimes hard to find. We went on a warm, spring night and the weather was wonderful. The service was so fast and friendly and we had a blast playing cornhole. We ordered margaritas and beer, and tater tots and they tasted were phenomenal. I can't wait to visit again!

I really enjoy the pump's atmosphere. It is laid back and unique, and come warmer weather it is going to be the "go to" space because of all of their outdoor space and activities. Even in the colder months, they have a lot of space heaters on the patio, to accommodate the crowds, since their building is so small. I'm thinking 20 tables tops. When talking to the owner, she mentioned they rotate chefs, kind of like a pop up chef type thing. Seems like an even better way to support the community! And all of their food I've tried (especially at the soft opening) was excellent. They even had a prime rib for valentines special that was delicious! 16oz for $25 with a side isn't too shabby either. Their drinks are just so-so in my opinion though. So I'd stick to pretty simple things, or beer.

Chill ambiance + Tasty drinks + Turquoise + Thoughtful bartenders + Good food = I'm in heaven. The bartenders were some of the nicest I've had the pleasure to be tended by. For example, I ordered the mushroom flatbread, and before placing the order, the bartender came back and double-checked if I wanted the bacon jam on it. The answer is as usual, no, but I was floored she asked! Most just assume. Their menu doesn't list out ingredients, and my first inclination was that mushroom flatbread would be ok for the non-meat eating folks, so major thumbs up to her. The drinks were delicious. With all the rum cocktails on the menu and the reggae playing in the background, it was almost as if I were back in the Florida Keys smack dab in OKC. I ordered the Bali Hai, which was a delicious concoction of rum, Chombord, ginger beer, and lime. The drinks were very well-priced too. My Bali Hai was only $8, which actually was one of the higher-priced cocktails! And the place itself is just cool! To the turquoise walls, the lighting, and the laid-back ambiance. I was by myself and had brought my book with me, and Pump had no distractions from my reverie (except for when I needed more drink!). To borrow Arnold's words: I will be back.

The pump is a much needed addition to the area! The outdoor area is huge and lends itself to large groups. Plus they have games like corn hole set up outside. The drinks are good, but the food is great! Bar food is usually a disappointment but the pump has got it down. The grilled cheese is so good, but look on their Instagram for specials (they always look amazing). They also do brunch and if you're looking for a patio for brunch, here's your place. Servers are really nice and the crowd is fun. Oh and they play the Harry Potter audio books in the bathroom...which is great.

I'm such a big fan of this place. The atmosphere is chill, the mixed drinks are creative and tasty, and the food exceeded my expectations. Some might get the impression that The Pump is just another dive bar, but it is anything but that. Don't get me wrong, it has that dive bar staple: the beer and shot for $5. However, it also has a surprisingly interesting and unique food menu. The Pump's cocktail list is also nothing to scoff at, with such drinks as the "Haterade" and "Singapore Sling." My favorite item on the menu thus far has been the flatbread tacos. The Pump gives an interesting take on what is usually an uninteresting dish. The tacos include pulled pork and fresh lettuce greens. (No, not the iceberg lettuce. REAL LETTUCE.) The tacos also came with corn succotash, something I'd never eaten before, but immediately fell in love with. For a small-ish establishment, The Pump has an extensive beer menu and many will enjoy the fact that The Pump has another dive bar staple: cheap drinks. The inside of The Pump is small, but there is an abundance of seating outdoors, including a nice heated patio. You can smoke at The Pump, but you'll have to park yourself outdoors. Overall, I have been very impressed with The Pump thus far and will be making many return trips!

Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago with my husband and some friends and had a great time! It was pouring rain that day, but we were able to find a table out on the patio and with the help of the propane heaters it was completely comfortable. The service was a little slow, but it was busy and the server was friendly. Just plan ahead and order your drinks accordingly. Since there were several of us, we ordered a few items off the menu and shared. I chose the Okie Poutine and after one bite, I wasn't wanting to share with the rest of the group because it was that good! Another friend ordered the grilled cheese and it is the best grilled cheese I have ever had. It was made with havarti and may have had some pimento cheese as well and was so creamy. We will definitely be back!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I actually stumbled upon this bar after reading a few Yelp reviews and saw that it was a new place to check out. I was just meeting a friend there for a drink, nothing huge, and had already eaten dinner. The setup is very small inside, but I think the outside seating area will be popular in the warmer months. I was actually a little cold inside, in fact my friend and I both had to keep our jackets on to stay warm. The drink menu looked interesting, and I probably would have ordered one of their rum options if I wasn't craving a glass of wine that night. The service was good, the music was fun, probably just a little too loud if you want to grab a drink and have a conversation, but it was worth checking out regardless. I would say this is the type of place you come to for a quick drink on your way to somewhere else. A warmup if you will.

Well. That's it. I have found my new favorite bar. I have been searching all of my life for a place like the pump. I almost don't want to write this for the fear that if it gets too popular it will start to suck. I just don't think that is possible. From the stellar design work that went into the branding of this bar to the bathroom Harry Potter. I was in love at first sip. The drink menu is kind of amazing. The wait staff is top notch. The owners are the kind of people you would hang with and feel cooler than before you met them. I asked for a drink called the bees knees and the owner came and sat down with me and gave me a free drink because she liked it so much. Where else can you get that type of service. The patio... Ohh I can see we are going to have so much fun there this spring and summer. The giant Jenga and the bean bag toss (corn hole?) are super fun activities. I am convinced this bar is going places. I haven't tried the food yet but I will very soon!

What a cool new bar in OKC! I liked the outdoor-centric environment, quirky decor, and Harry Potter audiobooks making your restroom experience second to none. The beer and mixed drink menus were quite encompassing. Got the OK Poutine, which was pot roast over tater tots and cheese curds...drool. I'm not gonna go 5 stars just yet because I want to see what it's like on a weekend (we were there on a Tuesday night). Overall, looking forward to going back!

I took a date here for brunch and really enjoyed myself. This was my first and only time to visit so please take that into consideration when reading this review. The brunch menu is pretty small, but if everything is as good as the smoked salmon, then there's plenty to enjoy. We split a mimosa carafe and they leave you the champagne bottle and OJ to fill as you prefer. The staff was friendly and helpful. The chef even came out to check on our food. I know this is fairly common, but I always enjoy when they take time to do this. After we ate and finished our bottle off, we went outside for a game of bags. Although I lost the match, I feel like I won the day. I had a tummy filled with great food and champagne, and it it was only 2:00. The Pump is a great place. I plan on returning many more times in the future.

If I could give pump zero stars I would but they are getting 2 because their food is good, if you can actually get served. I went to pump on one of their fist sunny brunch days of spring and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks, then another 45 minutes to bring our food. When they brought my order out it was not what I had ordered. They then said they couldn't make my original order that I had waited 45 minutes for because they RAN OUT OF EGGS. The waitress apologized and said they couldn't figure out what to do about running out of food...I have an idea, go down the street to homeland and buy more eggs! My fiance's brunch came out as ordered except it was cold and it was supposed to have a side of fruit and brunch potatoes. There were 3 pieces of fruit and 2 potatoes, which is NOT a normal amount of good. If you're going to run out leave it off the plate. After all that the waitress said she would have the manager come talk to us, except we waited another 15 minutes and he never came over. After a1.5 hrs we then paid the check for the cold brunch food and I walked out hungry with out having eaten. Brunch FAIL.

Super PUMPED for this bar!! Love the atmosphere, inside and out it has a great feel... this is what a bar should "feel" like to me. Excited for better weather to enjoy some cornhole out on the patio! Food was great.. but warning you now.. NO Ketchup! Ha! It's ok, they make their own which is a refreshing change. Sugar and tomatos on everything tends to ruin the flavor. Props to the bartenders for making super mixed drinks and fast!

The patio is the major selling feature for this bar. The patio is one of the largest ones in Oklahoma City, it is very open and there are games to play while hanging out with friends. It's a hipster bar for sure. The location is great for the revitalization of Uptown; the architect Anthony McDermid, did a great job in providing a trendy atmosphere for Paseo residence. If I didn't live within walking distance, I would never come back to this bar. It is well known for having the worst service and terrible bands. The general conversation is the only way to get a drink is to 'know' a waitress. I don't think I should have to know someone to walk into a bar to get a drink. It's a bar you bring drinks to the patrons; that's how you stay in business. If you're not local, good luck. The waitstaff is often seen chatting about with each other, sitting with their patron friends or just being a bit too hip for their own good. I sat on the patio yesterday afternoon, they were not busy at all. Fifteen minutes later, we still had not been greeted despite 3 servers walking by us; went next door. This will ultimately be their downfall. There are so many places opening up that have phenomenal food/drinks, prices and service, there is no need to pay for bad service. I hope this place get's their business plan together because it has a lot of potential.

We've needed a hip place like this for so long! First off, the drinks and beer lists are extraordinary. The cocktail bartenders know what they're doing and can recommend great choices if you're on the fence. Just a personal choice, but I have had several bourbon drinks there that were all amazing, their Manhattan being the best. The place is low-key, but -did I say hip?!- you'll see party-goers, after work crowds, and young cool city folk side by side at the bar and on the side porch throughout the evening. They play crazy nostalgic movies- I saw old '60's Godzilla and Hondo playing on the same night - and have a very garage feel, but it's a great vibe with a diverse crowd every time. The Pump is a great addition to the growing scene in Uptown!

There's a new bar in town and it is pretty awesome! I have enjoyed myself each time I've been and I've sat both inside and out. Their patio is going to be epic in the summertime! So much room for activities. Seriously. Every cocktail I've tried has been amazing! I really like asking the bartender to make me whatever she'd like and it always turns out incredibly delicious. I have gotten to sample a decent amount of the menu including flatbread tacos, Okie poutine and some brunch entrees. I went on their first day of brunch and the menu has since changed, so I will definitely be going back to try the new one! I am thoroughly impressed with everything I've had. This food is a lot better than you would expect a "bar" to have. They also have daily specials that always sound super tempting but I haven't tried any yet. It gets very crowded inside but there is plenty of room outside. It hasn't been bad outside even with the cold temperatures because of their heaters, but when it gets nicer out, it will definitely be even more packed outside! It's a fun atmosphere and completely unique from any other bar/restaurant in OKC. I hope to see The Pump here for a LONG time!

Cool place. Cool atmosphere, awesome patio and the drinks remind me of what you'd find on a beach - there's a whole section dedicated to rum drinks, which are right up my alley. We came on a weekend, so it was pretty busy and we had to stand outside. I said awesome patio, but it was chilly the night we went. There were space heaters, but still busy outside so we were cold. This review might get bumped to five stars when I experience Pump's patio in the summer. There are two patios, one is pretty big with cornhole (can't go wrong there), so it should be a great spring/summer spot.

Make sure you know what time it is before ordering your last beer. They will kick you out 10 minutes before 2am.

Amazing atmosphere, great service, delicious food, and a bucket of mimosa for brunch?! Can't go wrong. I can't believe I've waited this long to try this place out. In a city that seems to not embrace brunch, this place blew my mind.
